Italy should return to investing in its future. For too long the gaze of the policy has ceased to point out , crushing our country on the present and past, taking away momentum and perspective. E 'urgent to reverse this trend, take care of this and thinking about the next time that Italy is where we want five, ten years .
Moved by this belief we have chosen to devote the next year Italy Futura youth unemployment and policies to counter , because the theme of youth is not a detail but the heart of a great country . We believe that the alarming, sometimes tragic, the economic situation experienced by the majority of young people of our country is true national emergency and the result more clearly the failure policy of the last fifteen years. Focusing on the theme of young people, therefore, means to deal with many things: the most fresh and creative in the country, the future of us all and a policy to put back the discussion to focus on common good .
In recent months, while reports of ' Istat branched increasingly alarming data on the condition of the younger generation to get a few ideas and we heard a few suggestions of who should deal not only to manage the present but to build the future. Over the past ten years per capita income in Italy fell , while increased, albeit slightly, in our neighbors. The consequences of the economic slowdown are felt especially by the young Italian . This means that - unless urgent action is - the prospect is even more difficult situation today, because the economic slowdown is weakening the social and economic backbone of the near future.
That youth is one of the many problems that plague our country but the real social emergency , the central issue on which to focus to return to invest in the future, to reverse the spiral of decline and return to find the reasons of national pride for what we do well that what we are.
In a difficult environment, with increasingly limited resources, with opportunities denied, despite great obstacles, young Italians are actors of great effort and a quiet but essential work who helped Italy not to decline further, not to process the enormous difficulties in surrender.
We are convinced that Italy today is a combination of decline and potential. Opportunities denied, of annuities bully living next to an extraordinary capacity for work, dedication, commitment . Therefore depends on policy makers and the public the choice of which path will prevail: if one of inevitable decline, or the road to economic recovery based on the work, which provides opportunities for young people to put their energies into all institutions, companies, universities, workplaces, sure that their efforts will be recognized to the end .
We believe that the difference between the first and second options, one of decline and future steps on the commitment of individuals, and for this we will provide our analysis and our proposals.
